Privacy policy
Effective July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jilted Media (“Jilted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, submit an inquiry, book or pay for a service, communicate with us, or receive creative-production services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Jilted Media, we may collect:
- identity and contact information, including name, email address, mobile number, artist or business name, and account identifiers;
- account and authentication information supplied through our sign-in providers;
- project, consultation, booking, scheduling, venue, and production details;
- files and materials you submit, including private transfer links, music, images, footage, brand assets, references, notes, and final deliverables;
- transaction records, such as prices, invoices, deposits, payment status, refunds, credits, and limited payment-provider identifiers—but not raw card numbers;
- communications, approvals, policy acceptance, project status, staff assignments, and audit history; and
- limited technical and security information needed to operate, protect, and diagnose the website.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- review inquiries, recommend or assign team members, schedule services, prepare quotes and agreements, and deliver projects;
- create and manage accounts, private status pages, payments, refunds, credits, files, and customer support;
- send service-related notices and maintain accurate project and business records;
- protect Jilted Media, our customers, and our systems from fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and legal claims;
- meet accounting, tax, contract, legal, and regulatory obligations; and
- maintain our secured project archive, called the Vault, for internal quality review and customer file recovery.
Jilted does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for targeted advertising. We do not use Vault storage or general policy acceptance as permission to promote a customer or project.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses necessary technologies for authentication, security, checkout, and remembering whether you chose the Artist or Business experience. We do not currently use advertising cookies or session-replay analytics.
Service providers and disclosures
We may provide information to service providers that operate the website and services on our behalf, including Supabase for authentication, databases, and private storage; Vercel for website hosting; Stripe for payment processing; Google for sign-in; Sentry for privacy-limited production error reporting; and configured communication providers. These providers may process information only for their services and under their own applicable terms.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce an agreement, investigate fraud or a security event, protect a person’s rights or safety, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Payments
Card information is collected and stored by Stripe, not by the Jilted Media application. We retain transaction status and the limited provider identifiers needed to administer authorized charges, refunds, credits, disputes, and accounting records.
Error monitoring
In production, Sentry may receive error details needed to identify and repair website failures. Jilted disables session replay, performance tracing, user analytics, default personal-information collection, and IP-address storage. The application removes request bodies, cookies, headers, query strings, and direct contact fields before an event is sent, and Sentry applies additional server-side scrubbing. Error records are used only for security and operational support.
Project files and retention
- Active project files and final deliverables remain in the active project area for 90 days after final delivery, then move to the secured Vault.
- Vault materials are retained indefinitely for internal quality review and customer file recovery, subject to any deletion required by applicable law.
- Inquiries that never become paid projects are retained for 12 months after their most recent activity, then deleted unless a legal hold, dispute, fraud review, or applicable law requires longer retention.
- Contracts, invoices, payment and refund records, and related audit history for paid projects are retained for 10 years after project completion.
- Account, profile, and contact information may be retained indefinitely to verify identity and support Vault recovery, subject to applicable law.
Customers retain ownership of their project materials. Retention in the Vault does not transfer ownership or grant Jilted promotional rights.
Portfolio and promotional use
Jilted may use a customer’s name, likeness, music, footage, testimonial, project, or final work in a portfolio, case study, social post, advertisement, or other promotion only after separate written opt-in consent. You may decline without affecting the service you receive.
Minors
Accounts, bookings, payments, and policy acceptance are limited to people age 18 or older. A client age 15 through 17 may receive services only when a parent or legal guardian creates the account, books and signs on the minor’s behalf, and attends the consultation. The minor may not register or contract directly. Jilted does not knowingly provide site accounts to anyone under 18.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or appeal our response, by contacting us. We will verify the requester before disclosing or changing records. Some information may remain where retention is permitted or required for contracts, accounting, security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal holds, or the approved Vault purpose. You may separately withdraw promotional consent for future uses.
Jilted does not send marketing or operational text messages at launch. Providing a phone number or accepting the Terms of Service is not consent to receive SMS. If texting is introduced later, it will use a separate express-consent flow.
Security
We use access controls, private storage, encrypted connections, role-based permissions, payment-provider isolation, rate limits, audit records, and monitoring intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a qualifying security incident occurs, Jilted will investigate and provide notices as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the website or another appropriate service communication.
